WOUWE DOUWE
INSPIRED BY Douwe Bob – Slow Down (The Netherlands, 2016)
Paying homage to to Douwe Bob, this cocktail has its roots in the Kenyan ‘medicinal’ cocktail Dawa.
The traditional recipe uses regular vodka, so we added lemon flavoured vodka to give it the wow factor. It is quite sharp, so if you like your cocktails a little sweeter you can go ahead and add more honey.

ingredients
- 4 teaspoons runny honey
- 3 measures citron vodka
- 1/4 shot fresh lime juice
TO SERVE
- Old fashioned glass
- Lime garnish
METHOD
1.
Put the honey and vodka in your cocktail shaker, and stir until the honey dissolves

Add the lime juice and shake
3.
Fill your glass with crushed ice, and strain the Wouwe Douwe into it
4.
Garnish with lime, and serve
