Swedish Mule
The traditional mule is given a Swedish update with caraway spiced Aquavit and fiery ginger beer. This is the perfect sipper for any Eurovision party – we liked it. A lot.

We first made this in 2016 for our Swedish themed Eurovision party (because, yano, it was hosted in Stockholm that year). Initially we used Absolut vodka, but this Aquavit recipe is well worth trying once. Or twice…

This recipe specifies O.P. Anderson Original Aquavit, Sweden’s highest selling Aquavit. It’s spiced with caraway, anise and fennel. We like to add lime juice into our cocktail too.
ingredients
- 2 measures Aquavit
- 4 measures ginger beer
- 1 measure lime juice
- 1/2 measure sugar syrup
TO SERVE
- Highball glass
- Lime slice garnish
METHOD
1.
Fill your glass with ice, and add all of the ingredients
2.
Stir, garnish with a lime slice and serve
